Story

Kamli, a young woman from a humble background who works selling dental sticks on trains and platforms, crosses paths with Pratap, an educated bachelor. He offers to help her become refined and cultured, and she accepts, believing he has romantic intentions. Unknown to her, Pratap and his friend Kashinath have made a wager about whether her rough manners and behaviour can actually be transformed into something more polished.
